How to use
- Get instant results - iFinger Pop-up in Internet Explorer® Use the
cutting-edge iFinger Pop-up to get an instant translation. Simply hold your
cursor over a word on your Web page and the translation is displayed in a
pop-up window. For example: you could be looking at a Spanish website and you
can't understand the word partiendo, just hold your mouse over the word on the
Web page and the translation pops up for you.
- Get instant results - Searching in a Windows®-based environment Find the
word you want! Just highlight a word and with one keystroke you can see the
translation. For example: you are a German-speaker and you receive a
conference agenda by email from a colleague in America. You can't understand
the words plenary lectures and abstracts; in the email just double-click on
the words that you want to look up and the translations are displayed for you.
- Replace function Perhaps you are applying for a job in France and are
typing a letter to accompany your CV and you are not sure which translation of
the word skills to use in this instance. Just type skills into your word
processor document, double-click on it, and select the appropriate French
translation - compétence - from the entry in the Search window; then just use
the iFinger Replace function to copy the word back into your letter.
- Language recognition software The iFinger software can tell the difference
between English, French, Spanish, and German, so it can take you to the right
dictionary every time.
- Jump between the dictionaries with a mouse-click.
- Install and run the application from your hard drive - No need to hunt for
the CD-ROM or wait for the application to start up. The Oxford Pop-up French
Spanish German Dictionary Shelf installs to your hard drive and runs in the
background on your PC, so you can consult it whenever you want with no fuss
and no waiting.
- The Oxford Pop-up French Spanish German Dictionary Shelf uses exactly the
same software as The Pop-up English Language Reference Shelf on CD-ROM (ISBN
0-19-860355-X), so you can create a fully integrated reference library.
